Dear fellow trekkers,
I am going on a long long vacation; almost 2 months !.
I'll be back on April 11th and while I am away, Joe Silva and Julie will take care of the club business.
This Saturday, 17 Feb, I'll be flying Air New Zealand to the Cook Islands.
Spending 10 nights there, 5 on Roratonga and another 5 on Aitutaki.
Cook Island is about 3000 miles south of Hawaii in the middle of nowhere and between Tahiti & Samoa.

Diane Mueller and Jerry & Penny have been there too.
From Cook Islands, I am continuing to Sydney where I have a high school friend that I haven't seen for many years. I'll be spending 10 days in Sydney and then to Jakarta, Indonesia.
I am staying in JKT for about a month and my brother Paul will be there too.

I'll post pictures of my trip on our website:, so please check often.
For those with Facebook, you can look at my page under Kiam Oey, it's open to the public and you don't have to be my friend.... although we are !.

Here is a good introduction of Cook Islands on Youtube:
