« Last post by on July 08, 2018, 04:19:15 PM »
Hi Saturday Trekkers,

Sat., July 14, we'll tae take the goldline to Union Station for Train Fest!

Meet 8:30 am at the BofA lot, Foothill/Wheeler.

We will need reservations (altho the event is free), so let me know if you are interested so I can get them!

Thanks!  Julie
Since there is no Secret Stairs hike tomorrow, the 5th, Julie and I are sponsoring lunch at Tokyo Central on Azusa Ave in West Covina. This is the old Marukai Market that has been remodeled and now you can have hot food, prepared and already packaged for a reasonable price.
Meet at BofA at 11 am to carpool.
If you want to go direct, here is the address:

Tokyo Central
1420 South Azusa, West Covina.

Hope to see you

Kiam and Julie

General Discussion / Wildflowers at Mormon Rocks

Hi Trekkers,

There is a SPECTACULAR wildflower bloom up at Mormon Rocks (the PCT, under the I-15 Fwy and west toward Wrightwood), alongside the trains coming through the Cajon Pass.  Think the latest wildfire (the Lake Fire) inspired ALL the flowers to bloom...riotously!

I plan to head up again on Tuesday am to get some pictures.  Anyone interested?

Here's a link to Saturday's hike:
